Mighty Magnets – Repair Options & Shipping Instructions
Please review the information below before returning any product for repair or resealing. Following these guidelines helps us evaluate your magnet quickly and prevents shipping issues.
---
Repair Options
-
Cracked or Broken ABS Plastic Housing
Before shipping the damaged magnet back, please email clear photos of the exterior housing and the internal magnet (if visible).
If the internal magnet is heavily rusted or severely deteriorated, repair may not be possible, as proper adhesion cannot be guaranteed.
-
Loose Magnet
If only one side of the magnet is loose, ship back only the loose side. This reduces shipping cost and risk.
-
Magnets Stuck Together
You may either ship the magnets back to us for separation or order our magnet separation wedges from our website and perform separation at home
-
Water Inside the Magnet Housing
If water has entered the housing, immediate action is required.
Drill a small drainage hole on the bottom of the housing (under the Velcro) to allow water to drain.
We recommend shipping the magnet back to us for resealing or repair, depending on age and condition.
Photos are required so we can determine the correct solution.

Shipping Instructions (Very Important)
Proper packing is critical when shipping magnets. Improperly packed magnets can attach themselves to conveyor belts or metal equipment and be lost during transit.
Packing Materials
- Packing peanuts work well but must be packed tightly
- Loose fill is not acceptable
- Bubble wrap alone is not sufficient unless used in large quantity and secured tightly
Preventing Movement
- The magnet must not move inside the box
- Any movement increases the risk of loss
- Conveyor belts are magnets’ worst enemy
Clearance Rule
The distance between the magnet and each wall of the box must be at least double the magnet’s thickness/strength.
Example: A magnet with 2 inches of strength requires a minimum of 4 inches of clearance on all sides.
Final Packing Checklist
- Magnet cannot move in any direction
- Packing material is compressed and secure
- Clearance requirements are met
- Box is sturdy and fully sealed
Pack tightly. No movement. Pack those peanuts.
